Meet at the Sechelts Oceans Day celebration at Friendship Park. At 1 pm we will gather at the base of the Sechelt Pier to begin the shoreline cleanup.

The District of Sechelt and the Sunshine Coast Conservation Association are organizing this cleanup as part of the Sechelt Oceans Day Celebration on June 10th. District staff will have some gloves and supplies available to help with the cleanup. Some of the waste we pick up will become art supplies for the Make Art Not Waste interactive community art collaboration, and will be displayed in the community the week after Oceans Day! Come early or stay late to enjoy the Oceans Day festivities (12 - 4 pm @ Friendship Park). Pick up your Oceans Day Passport for your chance to win prizes!

  • Celebrate World Oceans Day by stewarding our beautiful Sechelt waterfront. Raise awareness about ocean plastic pollution, and learn what we can do to prevent plastic pollution and protect marine life!
